General NewsTo this day we do not know how delicately balanced nature is, and how a single change in the environment can affect it.

One thing which does seem apparent is that no matter the change, nature adapts. Still, the latest reports regarding the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone Park is interesting.

General NewsI've tended to steer away from political issues on this site (been there done that, not sure how good I was at it).

Still, with the polarisation of the eurosceptics throughout Europe, and the widespread apathy of the political chattering classes to acknowledge such, Mark Steyn bites back.

TechnologyThe next step in a Gibson-esque future may be upon us. According to a BBC article, a US firm called Microvision has developed a system that projects lasers into the eye allowing users to see images overlayed onto their normal vision.

The main potential applications for this (as for most cutting edge technology) are seen as medical, entertainment and military use.

General NewsThese days it is hard to question accepted views without being labeled as either ignorant or an alarmist.

Site UpdatesNew news. This version of geeklog has an rdf feed. Looks like it may need a bit of improving, but it can be found at http://www.scribes-write.co.uk/backend/geeklog.rdf

Next time I will RTFM a bit more carefully. The feed could do with a bit of work, but seems ideal for keeping up with Scribes Write through the occasional dry spells!

What am I?This Book Quiz from Blue Pyramid is better than most. Rather than wade through hundreds of questions, this quiz provides your outcome after just six.

This doesn't mean you will be put into a limited number of stereotypes, as there are (supposedly) 64 different outcomes.
